I May Be Obsessed!!

With what? Project Life by Becky Higgins.

What's that?!?! You haven't  heard of Project Life before!?!? Well... it is truly heaven sent! It is a one-of-a-kind way to tackle scrap booking! You can see all about it here on Becky Higgins' blog. She has fantastic video tutorials that show you all of the components of Project Life, what it's for, and how to use it!

If you follow her blog or become a fan on facebook she also gives little tips and advice on things you can capture from your life to put in your scrapbook.

Sadly, the Project Life Kits are no longer available... BUT you can buy bits and pieces to create your own kit!

I am so far behind on my children's scrap booking photos that I don't even think I have a picture mounted on a page for my 4 yr-old daughter. I divided all the pictures and put them in page protectors where I want hem to go, but they have sat that way for almost 4 yrs now! My son's album isn't even started... I don't even have an notebook for the pictures. So, here's what I bought the other day:
The Turquoise and the Amber edition notebooks. They are 3-ring binder's that hold 12"x12" pages. They are specially designs to hold an entire year's worth of photos {if you choose to do Project 365}. I bought one of each. The Turquoise for my sons baby photos, and the Amber for my daughters.
Then I bought a package of these: 100 journaling cards. They are plain cards {with a very faint graph paper-like design on them}. I only bought one package for both albums because I plan on using my own scrapbook papers and only minimal journaling. My hope is to get as many photos in the albums as I can!

I ordered some of each layout of page protectors. Some pictures just don't work horizontal and others don't work vertically. So, I bought a couple of each to make sure I can make it work! The awesome part about Project Life is that I can do it however I want! I am not limited to only the sheets and protectors that Becky Higgins supplies! I can use my own 12"x12" protectors and do a whole page spread! I can add 8.5"x11" page protectors or larger photos or printed pieces. I can even use small 4"x6" individual photo protectors to add individual photos wherever I want! I am so excited and I can't wait to receive my package and get to work! The hardest part is going to be organizing all my printed photos!!

Thanks Becky Higgins!!

Here are a couple photos of the album I am working on for this year! This project is what has gotten my hooked on Project Life!

{I printed a journal page (2 pages really) about our family vacation! I created a frame to look like Mickey Mouse - since our trip was to Disneyland. Stuck it in an 8.5"x11" page protector and added it to my album. Then I used the next couple of pages to display only our pictures!}
