I don't know about you guys, but for us summer is a time to have fun and get things done. But... there are inevitably those three words that ever parent hates to hear, "mom/dad, I'm bored!".



Now, you can scour Pinterest for ideas for how to combat the boredom... but what if you're not at home? Last night the kids and I met my husband at work (a local college) where they were having a free summer movie projected outside on a giant inflatable screen. It was pretty awesome!  The only downside was that they weren't starting the movie until it was dark out. After we ate our picnic dinner the kids were a little restless because there wasn't anything to do for the next 45 minutes while we waited for the movie.

Lucky for them, when I was packing our wagon full of blankets, pillows, and snacks, I also grabbed my mini bowling kit. I had it all ready to go in the drawstring bag. It was perfect!
