Gotta Make Room...

Those of you who own Etsy shops know exactly what I am talking about! Sometimes your pile of finished products just takes up too much space!

So, I am offering some clearance items {because I need more space in my studio!} at 50%+ off of original retail price!

Tutorial: How to Make Cupcake Toppers

These are the latest craze to hit the party scene!! But, now that you can get your pdf printable files in etsy shops and blog everywhere... including my 4th of July printable here. So, how do you take the printed sheet of paper and turn it into a decorating masterpiece!?!?

Here's how:
{click on any of the pictures to see them enlarged!}

Print out your template sheet on sturdy paper. Think 80-110lb. card stock {bright white is preferable because your colors will be perfect}.

Next, grab your circle punch. If you happen to be using my template sheet, use a 2.5" circle punch! You can find them at Joann's, Michaels, and probably any other craft store {sadly there is no Hobby Lobby out here... but from all the wonderful posts I read elsewhere I kinda wish there was!}

Center the design in your punch... and...PUNCH!

Printable: 4th of July Cupcake Toppers

Looking for a little extra something to make your 4th of July BBQ/party a little more fun! How about a FREE printable!?

Click {here} to download the file.

Each square is 2.5". The circles are 2". You can use a 2.5" punch to cut them out or grab your scissors and cut them by hand! Then create your cupcake toppers.

{Come back tomorrow to see how to make your own cupcake toppers!}

Bathroom Renovation Inspiration

{How are you liking my new blog layout!? I worked on it for most of the day yesterday... quite the undertaking!}
For the last 6 months or so {since we have moved into our home} I have been trying to decide what I want to do with our bathrooms. We are so lucky to have 2 FULL baths. One is the guest/kids bathroom... the other belongs to me and my hubby! I had hoped to start work on the kids bathroom this month... but with $800+ in car repairs this month {OUCH!} it kind of took a back seat.... again!

So, for now, I keep wishin' and hopin' and dreamin' and thinkin' {or however that song goes} for the $ to get at my bathrooms!! Just for fun, I put together some eye candy inspiration of bathroom renovations. Maybe you will see something you like and will want to do in your own bathroom! I am loving the bead board or board and batten looks.

My favourite thing about being a mom is cuddles!!! I love the way my son (3 months) snuggles with me and I love the way he smiles and laughs. It's amazing to see the world through his eyes, and ordinary object makes him laugh and shake. I love that even after a night of no sleep, his smile and love gives me the strenght to keep going.

AND... our Pizzazzing You Giveaway winner never contacted me. So a new winner has been chosen... #23

Mommy Lesson #3: Kids Make a Great First Impression {True Story}

... or more aptly titled..."How my kids helped me make a great first impression!"

So, we have been in our house for about 6 months now {yay!} and we bought it about 7 months ago. SO.... about 8 months ago we started working with a loan guy {not sure what the technical term is for him}. My husband had been dealing with him mostly, but the kids and I had to take a trip to his office one day to drop off paperwork because my sweet hubby had a meeting at work.

Review and Giveaway: Bedtime and Naptime... by Hilary Weeks

**Extended until Friday, June 17th!!!**

I was given the opportunity through Deseret Book Store to review a brand new book by singer/songwriter Hilary Weeks. The book is called "Bedtime and Naptime... and Bedtime and Naptime: The Simple Joys of a Mom's Life". Hilary Weeks is an LDS {Latter-Day Saint} mom and entertainer. She writes and performs beautiful religious songs. In this book {which includes a CD} she shares some of "the simple joys of a mom's life".

I just have to say... as a mom.... this made me laugh the hardest I have laughed in a l-o-n-g  time!! But, it also really hit home. She shares some fantastic quotes from women with great insight, as well as her own personal experiences being a wife and a mother.

Looking for the Pizzazzing You giveaway!? It ends tomorrow... so get those entries in!

We have taco night at our house once a week. It used to be on Tuesdays, but now it can be any day. BUT, what are really good tacos without shredded lettuce!?? They are just good. With rising gas prices and and higher prices at the grocery store {which I still call the "market"} the price of lettuce and particularly shredded lettuce has gone up!

So, here's a "won't break the bank" way to make your own shredded lettuce.
