Okay... on to more delicious things.... PIZZA!!! Now, I can't take credit for this recipe... it's from the little book of recipes that came with my bread machine... but I'm going to share it anyway.
My bread machine had been in storage for 5 years! We got it as a wedding present, but because our apartment isn't that big we had left it in storage hoping we would some day find the space for it! Now that my toddler (who is terribly allergic to milk, eggs, and peanuts) is eating more solid/finger foods I am on the hunt for things he can eat. But, I have found that most bread sold in stores contain milk or eggs -- or have been processed in a place where milk and eggs are processed. So, I made the decision that even though we are lacking space in our apt, I was going to make room for my bread machine. Ok... BEST DECISION EVER!!!!!! I love my bread machine!!!!
Lately I have been using it to make pizza dough. So, here's the recipe (with my own tweek).
1-1/8 c. warm water
1-1/2 T olive oil
1-1/2 t. salt
3-1/3 c all purpose flour (**mixed with 2 T garlic powder)
1-1/2 t. sugar
1-1/2 t. yeast
**that's my tweek!
If you try this recipe just know that you have to add the ingredients to your bread machine in that order -- and set your machine to the dough setting!!
Roll out the dough, top as desired. Bake at 350F for 20-30 minutes depending on your desired crust color :).
I topped my pizza with mozerrella, parmesan, diced ham and canned pineapple. Yum!!!
My son gets his own personal pizza. Sauce (dairy free -- some of them have cheese in the sauce) diced ham and canned pineapple. He loves it and can't get enough!!!
I just make sure to make his pizza first and cut his pizza first, that way he doesn't have any dairy on there -- even a small trace would be bad for him.
